About

Josh is a 22-Year-Old Landscape and Nature Photographer based on the spine of the United Kingdom which is the Peak District National Park. This is just a stone's throw away from his hometown.

Being situated on the Dark Peak side of this national park provides an ultimate photographic playground for Josh and allows him to be fully creative with his imagery and increase those adventurous and memorable experiences.

Most of Josh’s images are all locally captured, approximately within a 6-mile radius from his own back door, walking to all locations helps him constantly scout out parts of the landscape throughout the year. Making an internal map of his locality, inevitably synergizing with his work, so when the weather conditions change or the light emits from a different angle, Josh is then confidently able to visit one of those pre-scouted areas.

As seen through his collection of work, it varies from the big wide-open vistas to the more understated and intimate landscapes, big or small Dramatic or Calm. Josh simply loves getting outdoors and hiking in all weathers and seasons, the photographs for him are just a bonus and a result of the adventures he has been on. Upon reading his thoughtful image descriptions helps to provide a story, a three-dimensional feel for the viewer. It’s Josh’s hope that those viewing his work can connect, relate, and be inspired by the eyewitness tradition and natural images he creates.
