COLD DESERT

A soft, vast, cold desert awaits the wanderer. There’s always a desert nearby you just have to look close enough. A desert, a quiet place to reflect, to escape the rush, to slow down.

Capturing these small or big scenes help me to become fully focussed on something tranquil, although a challenge to get the composition and light the way I want it to come across, I find it very therapeutic to do so. And therefore this is what lured me into making this type of imagery.

I think imagery is a good term for this. It doesn’t necessarily show a grand landscape or anything of real scale. That’s what I like about it, the mystery the undefined exploration of what my eyes and mind subconsciously seek to find.
