COTTONOPOLIS
Context
Manchester is a major city in the northwest of England with a rich industrial heritage. Cottonopolis was a 19th-century nickname for Manchester, as it was a metropolis and the centre of the cotton industry. These images we both taken in January 2021 this year as the late sun emitted a small golden band of light across the landscape with cold blue tones above and below the city. I also tried a long exposure and found this worked best in Monochrome, I really like the way it turned out.
